I have an old laptop with a Pentium II (686-pae) and an ATI Rage 128
(r128.ko) Mobility M3 video card. When attempting to run vlc,
kaffeine, or mpv, they attempt o open up libvdpau_nvidia.so, which
doesn't work. I've tried disabling hardware decoding in VLC, but it
still tries to open that library. I think it's related to
libavcodec55.so, which all three programs depend on.

Any ideas on how to turn of hardware decoding?
