You can close this. There is no bug. Evidently, the post install script either didn't, or failed to, update the kernel to include the wireless module. Steps I took to resolve the issue: 1. Install the module-assistant package: sudo apt install module-assistant 2. From the command line, run: sudo m-a prepare 3. From the command line, run: sudo apt reinstall broadcom-sta-dkms
