Schon die Russen haben damit angefangen und die extrem hochwertigen Beton-Deckplatten der Landebahn nach Russland _ausgeflogen_. Flieger und Sprit hatte man ja. Natürlich nicht die ganze Bahn, ein Stück wurde ja noch gebraucht um selber hochzukommen. Der Rest wurde dann später geschreddert. In den zugehörigen Häusern war kein Klo mehr, kein Meter Kabel in der Wand und keine Wasserleitung. Wir, das waren $DAMALS 3 Berliner Segelflugvereine wollten den Platz als Segelfluggelände kaufen, haben wir irgendwann auch, aber wir hatten nur Interesse an einer Grasbahn. Die Stadt Neu-Ruppin, oder wer auch immer gerade heute der Eigentümer war, wollte uns aber partout aufdrücken, dass wir die Beton-Startbahn betriebsbereit halten, damit die reichen Wessis mit ihren Privatjets problemlos einschweben könnten, wenn sie in NeuRuppin ihre neue Industrie hinklotzen würden. War aber nix mit reichen Wessis, Privatjets, Geklotze und so. Nur ein Kerosin-See auf dem Grundwasser, ein bisschen Radioaktivität (aber nicht wirklich schlimm) wo die Bomber mit heißem Motoröl und der montierten Bombe unter dem Bauch für das Ruhrgebiet oder das Fulda-Gap startbereit zu stehen pflegten. Einzelparkplätze entlang der Startbahn. Nicht mal eine Nissenhütte.
50 Meter geradeaus rollen, 1 Kurve und Vollgas. Dauert keine Minute.
Die Unterkunft für die Piloten war auch keine Minute weg vom Flugzeug.
