Das ist mal wieder typisch Heise. Sicherlich wird hauptsächlich in den
Glasfaserausbau investiert, aber eben nicht für FTTB/FTTH sondern
hauptsächlich für FTTC. Also für die MSANs am Straßenrand. Und FTTH
wollen wohl etliche nicht, deswegen nicht haben, weil sie die
Geschwindigkeit nicht brauchen/nicht haben wollen, sondern weil z.B.
FTTH ziemlich viel Dreck macht. Anwesende wie auch bei dir
ausgeschlossen. Und ich finde fast ein Viertel Durchsatz bei einer so
aktuellen Technik schon gar nicht schlecht.

Wieviele Durchschnittsmenschen wohl 2010 ein iPhone/Android Smartphone
hatten? Es würde mich wundern wenn das in D 20 Mio. insgesamt gewesen
wären. Das wäre auch ca. ein Viertel der möglichen Kundschaft gewesen.
Glasfaser ist in D als FTTH momentan nur sehr beschränkt zu haben. 2
Mio. von 40 Mio. möglichen Haushalten ist schon sehr speziell.

Das sind die letzten Zuckungen der leitungsgebundenen Infrastruktur 
hierzulande. Die ist bald Geschichte.

Durchgängige Stromversorgung ist auch verzichtbar. Kraftwerke auch, man 
kann ja den Strom im Ausland zukaufen.

Na, hier im Dorf - und den umliegenden Dörfern, die auch zu dem
Versorgungsgebiet gehörten - reichte die Zahl der Anmeldungen für
Glasfaser aus. Wobei einige, die eher abgelegen wohnen und lt. Plan
nicht angeschlossen werden sollten, wohl ne ganze Menge Geld bezahlt
haben um doch Glasfaser zu bekommen.

Es sind also nicht nur Nerds, die Interesse an einem schnelleren Zugang
haben - wobei hier der vorherige Zugang max 44 KB/s im Download hatte.

Die Telekom will wohl teilweise bis zu € 50.000 (fünfzigtausend) für einen 
FTTH-Anschluß sehen.

Die Zugangsinfrastruktur ist in Deutschland zu 99 % Kupfer.

Und so wird sie auch außer Betrieb genommen werden, wenn die Hardware 
obsolet ist.

Abwarten und Tee trinken - hier kommt Internet inzwischen über Glasfaser
und Telefon noch über Kupfer.

Das was Bernd schreibt, ist auch nur maximal für die letzten paar
Meter gültig. Große Entfernungen werden schon lange per Glasfaser
gemacht. Alle VSts sind per Glasfaser angebunden, und alle MSAN/VDSL
Outdoors auch.

Der Endpunkt für die Glasfaserleitung hängt gut einen Meter rechts neben
mir an der Wand und nennt sich GENEXIS, von dort geht das Kabel in die
Fritz!Box und von der dann ein Kabel zum Computer.

Ja logisch, wenn *kein* Kabel vorhanden ist, kannst du DSL bestellen.
Ich fragte aber nach einer Möglichkeit DSL zu bestellen wenn Kabel
*vorhanden* ist.
