Wo produziert Cisco?
Cisco produziert seine Netzwerkhardware (Router, Switches) überwiegend
durch Auftragsfertiger im Ausland, primär in Asien. Mexiko und Brasilien
werden ebenfalls als Produktionsstandorte genannt. Trotz des Hauptsitzes
im Silicon Valley (USA) erfolgt die Fertigung selten in den USA.
Wichtige Fakten zur Cisco-Produktion:
Asien-Fokus: Der Großteil der Hardwareproduktion findet in
asiatischen Ländern statt.
Andere Regionen: Mexiko und Brasilien
sind ebenfalls Standorte für die Fertigung, wie Reddit-Nutzer
berichten.
US-Markt-Entwicklungen: Angesichts neuer US-Bestimmungen
(FCC) werden Berichten von The Register zufolge Bemühungen
unternommen, die Fertigung teilweise in die USA zu verlagern.
Teilweise ist nicht ganz.
