Keine Ahnung, ob MacOS X das immer noch so handhabt - der Nachteil ist, daß das nicht sonderlich gut mit "focus follows mouse" harmoniert. Jedenfalls hab ich keine (im Vergleich zu früher) gigantomanischen Bildschirme, um nach wie vor wg. fullscreen nur Platz für ein Programm zu haben. Wenn der Bildschirm während der Browsernutzung noch Platz für email, TV und einen Chat hat, warum soll ich die dann nicht nebenher um Blick behalten? Ich bekomme immer Zustände, wenn ich gezwungen werde, was in Windows zu machen, und dabei Scrollbalken benutzen muß. Will ich einfach nur komplett nach oben scrollen, greife daher (> 20 Jahre muscle memory) den Scrollbalken mit der Maus und ramm ihn irgendwie nach oben, weil weiter als Anschlag gehts ja nicht - werde ich damit überrascht, daß er wieder zurück auf den Ursprungsstand springt. Ähnliches passiert, wenn ich den Scrollbalken während des Ziehens seitlich verlasse. Principle of maximum surprise, oder so. Chromium hat das (nach Kritik leicht abgemildert) auch übernommen, weil Chrome das neue OS ist, Plattformunterschiede daher nicht zulässig sind und Windows-Verhalten allein seligmachend ist. Nicht, daß Mozilla dabei viel besser wäre. Seit einiger Zeit kann man bei Firefox und Thunderbird nicht mehr seitenweise scrollen, indem man oberhalb bzw. unterhalb des Scrollbalkens klickt - stattdessen springt der Scrollbalken an die Position des Mauszeigers. Leider hat ger.ct bei meinem Newsserver > 100.000 Artikel, weswegen sich die Suche in der Artikelliste nach etwas bestimmtem äußerst mühselig gestaltet: Klicken geht wie geschildert nicht mehr, ziehen springt pro Scrollbalken-Pixel um mehrere 100 Artikel, mit dem Scrollrad wiederum scrollt man sich tot, und die PgUp/Down Tasten bewegen den Selektionsbalken mit, was einem unterwegs alles mögliche als gelesen markiert, was man nicht will. Ist völlig unklar, was diese Änderung sollte - wenn ich vorher den Scrollbalken hätte bewegen wollen, hätte ich ihn gezogen. Jetzt hat man diesbezüglich redundante Funktion und eine andere ist dagegen weggefallen - toll. Meine Vermutung für diese Änderung ist, daß es auf Windows immer schon so war.
