Witzigerweise war der Vodafone-Anschluß stabiler als der von der
Telekom. DSL bei der Telekom war so alle halbe Jahr weg, natürlich
(Murphy) meist zum Wochenende. Support anrufen, Skript abarbeiten
("Schalten sie mal ihr Modem aus und wieder ein, rebooten sie ihr
Windows...), messen, hin und her, nach 2-3 Tagen ging es dann wieder.
Mit einem Techniker hab ich mich mal etwas länger unterhalten, der
meinte, die Meßwerte bei mir wären irgendwie seltsam.
Kurz bevor ich zu Vodafone wechselte hatte ich das Problem noch mal.
Seufzen, Support anrufen, sich mental auf ein Wochenende ohne Internet
vorbereiten. "Oh, ihr DSL ist gestört? Ich resette mal ihren Port."
*klick* Geht wieder. Zeit: Keine ganze Minute. Ich dachte, ich wär im
falschen Film, und suchte nach der versteckten Kamera. Vermutlich hing
das mit der Ansage vorher "das Gespräch wird zu
Qualitätssicherungszwecken aufgezeichnet" zusammen. Und natürlich damit,
daß die Telekom sich was für Portresets durch den Support gebaut hatte...
Wie dem auch sei - die Vodafone-Leitung hatte diese regelmäßig
auftretenden Probleme nicht mehr. Und an meiner Seite lag es nicht, denn
ich hab das Telekom-DSL-Modem einfach weiterbenutzt.
Ich bin allerdings aus verschiedenen Gründen kein ausgesprochenener
Vodafone-Fan. Ausschlag für diesen Anbieter hat (neben den 6 MBit, die
auch tatsächlich erreicht wurden) gegeben, daß ich jemanden bei Vodafone
im Support kenne, und dadurch einen kurzen Draht zum de facto
Premium-Support habe :)
Nach dem Umzug sind es 16 MBit, wegen nicht ganz taufrischer Strippen
real so 15. Ich muß mal wieder draufgucken, ob sich was geändert hat,
seit bei dem Typen über mir der Anschluß getauscht wurde.
