No. Because security isn't an issue for reading and posting news, it's
not encrypted and Stunnel has never been needed.
(As an aside, I got a message a few months ago from my news provider,
news.individual.net, saying that they would be closing down their
service in two years time, so I shall eventually have to find a new news
provider - if there are any left by then!)
