Spaeter habe ich einige Directories auf Admin gesetzt, weil dieses ganze "Schutzgezumpel" einfach albern ist und ich mit dem Dingen ungehindert arbeiten koennen muss. Inzwischen geht das weitgehend, allerdings lange nicht so gut wie mit XP. Von Win 2k auf XP war ein echter Fortschritt, von XP auf Win 7 vermag ich den ausser des groesseren RAM Bereichs nicht zu erkennen. -- Gruesse, Joerg http://www.analogconsultants.com/

Davor hab ich 20 Jahre einen W201 gefahren. Die Umstellung war schon etwas nervig, vor allem das ständige Gepiepse. Inzwischen hab ich mich dran gewöhnt und sooo schlecht ist der neue dann doch nicht, genaugenommen hat das sogar Vorteile. Den alten hab ich aber noch in der Halle stehen. In 4 Jahren bekommt der ein H-Kennzeichen. Mit dem alten bin ich in den Jahren 2 mal liegengeblieben. Beide male an derselben Kreuzung hier in der Stadt. Beim Anfahren die Antriebswellen abgeschert. Ersatzteil kostete gebraucht bei Ebay jeweils knapp 40,- €. Den neuen hab ich am Anfang ständig abgewürgt, weil diese modernen Diesel einfach zu wenig Drehmoment bei niedrigen Drehzahlen haben. Danke, jetzt wird mir Verschiedenes klar. Auf dem Rechner lief ab und zu auch Linux, wo ich wichtige Dateien auf extfs Laufwerken vor Windows versteckt hatte. Und da machte ich den Fehler, die Systeme vor einem Wechsel nicht herunterzufahren, sondern nur in den Winterschlaf zu schicken, was sie dann nach dem Aufwachen mit einer "Reparatur" der Laufwerke quittierten. Irgendwann wurde mir klar, daß die Systeme nach dem Aufwachen anscheinend die Laufwerke im vorherigen (gecachten) Zustand erwarten. Vielleicht hat sich obiger Fehler bei den wechselseitigen Reparaturversuchen eingeschlichen, und ist erst später zu Tage getreten. Das wäre dann wieder mal so ein Feature (persistenter Cache), auf das ich liebend gerne verzichten würde :-( DoDi

Seit Anfang der 90er, weil das der alte Compaq auch ohne Hibernate-Support durch das OS konnte. Was bei Windows 7 passiert ist dies: Anstatt fuer einen Sekunde oder so zu erscheinen, blitzt "Power off" auf den Monitoren nur kurz auf. Der PC scheint also die Monitor Output Kanaele wirklich ganz kurz abzuschalten. Sofort springt der Log-in Monitor jedoch wieder an, der Log-in Screen erscheint und es steht "Locked" drauf (was sonst nie dort steht). Selbstverstaendlich ist Windows 7 soweit "dumbed down", dass keinerlei Erklaerungen auftauchen, welche Softwaere denn einen Lock verursacht. Die "Loesung" sieht dann immer so aus: Per CTRL-ALT-DEL ein Programm nach dem anderen voll abwuergen, bis der Rechner ausschaltet. Seit Windows 7 habe ich den Task Manager immer geoeffnet. Geht nicht mehr anders. Ich bleibe dabei, XP was das "Last known good OS". Ich bin bei weitem nicht der einzige, der sowas staendig erlebt und dieser Meinung ist. Das hat der PC Branche einen gehoerigen Daempfer versetzt, weil Leute und besonders Firmen an ihren XP-Rechnern klammern und daher weniger neue kaufen. Einziger Nachteil, du hast nur Zugriff auf 4Gig RAM (reicht ihmo immernoch, ausser man macht CAD oder Riesenpanoramen). Die Probleme tauchen durch den mixed mode 64 zu 32 bit auf und dann auch noch durch den admin-Mode/normal-Mode, z.B. kann man zwischen einem Dateimanager im Admin-Mode und einem normal geöffneten kein Drag&Drop machen; dito mit der COM Schnittstelle, würde z.B. der AcrobatViewer im Admin-Modus geöffnet, kann man eine pdf-Datei, die man im Normalmodus öffnen will, nicht mehr im Acrobat-Fenster öffnen, weil Acrobat versucht die per COM-verbindung im aktuellen Prozess zu öffnen und das zwischen Admin/und Normalmodus nicht funktioneirt (aus Sicherheitsgründen? oder weil M$ das nicht gebacken gekriegt hat?). Nächster Punkt sind die NFS-Zugriffsrechte, wenn du da z.B. Verzeichnisse öffnen willst, die von einem anderen Rechner angelegt wurden (auf nem externen NTFS-Medium), kann es sein, das Du die nur noch als admin aufkriegst, weil aktuelle User nicht dem User entspricht, der das damals anlegt hatte. Ihmo völliger Schwachfug, aber M$ macht halt so nen Müll, vermutlich weil sie die Sicherheit erhöhen wollten - ihmo aber recht zwecklos. Sicherheit per Software gibt es nicht. Das ist doch alles hackbar ohne Ende. Dies Dateirecht kann man übrigens mit zwei Komandozeilen reparieren, alles in Windows an Bord; aber irgendwie bastelt man mit den jahren immer mehr an dem blöden Wind**fs herum, bis man es halbwegs benutzbar hat, man kommt kaum noch zur eigentlichen Arbeit (Linux ist da übrigens nicht anders ;-). Oder man macht es wie ne grosse Firma nebenan, da gibt es nur noch Thinclients, an denen kann man gar nichts mehr schrauben, mit denen muss man so auskommen wie die eingerichtet sind, eignen sich nur noch für ein wenig Office, zum Enwtickeln etc. überhaupt nicht mehr einsetzbar und wenn die Standleitung zum Rechenzentrum weg ist, kann der ganze Betrieb Feierabendmachen, da gehen nicht mal mehr die Telefone. Dito wenn der Server unter ne DDOS-Attacke steht oder tatsächlich doch mal gehackt wurde. M. --
