Meine Kamera muß ich nicht abschalten, um die SD-Karte zu wechseln. Hotswap ist bei SD-Karten in Kameras gewissermaßen systemimmanent, zumindest meine Knipse signalisiert auch mit ausgeschaltetem Hauptschalter durch kurzes LED-Geblinke, wenn man die Karte wechselt. Aber man sollte beim Entnehmen schon warten, bis die "Hallo, ich schreibe noch draufherum"-Lampe aufhört zu blinken. Tut er das nicht, wird der ernsthafte Fotograf ernsthafte Probleme mit seinen Daten bekommen. Ich hab's latürnich mal ausprobiert. Man kann zwischen "letztes Bild kaputt" und "alles weg, läßt sich im Kartenleser nicht mehr formatieren" durchaus abwechslungsreiche Ergebnisse erzielen. Ja nur wenn sie, wie Du schreibst, am Kartenschacht blinkt, siehst Du das vor der Batterieentnahme nicht unbedingt - es sei denn Batterie und Karte teilen sich den Schacht. Bei meiner Kamera tun sie das, aber beim Öffnen des Deckels, bevor ich eine LED sehen könnte, sitzt zwar die Karte noch fest aber die Batterie nicht mehr.

Ernsthafte Fotografen haben, früher jedenfalls, die CF-Karten bevorzugt. Die waren jedenfalls früher viel schneller als damalige SD und eben auch viel grösser. So es denn duenkt, ihn zu erkennen, was bei Windows 7 manchmal nur nach Gegentreten klappt. Fazit es, ich halte stets einen XP Rechner vor, fuer den Fall des Falles. Wie gesagt, ich bin da gar nicht erst 'rangegangen (normalerweise bin ich deutlich kooperativer!), weil mir in der Vergangenheit zu oft Sachen angelastet wurden, die letztendlich doch an MS lagen. Den Schuh ziehe ich mir nicht mehr an. MS übrigens auch nicht und bei "Fragen Sie Ihren PC-Hersteller" (oder wahlweise den Netzwerkadministrator) muss eben der Schrauber anrücken.

Wenn man den Kram seit einer Zeit macht, zu der man sich noch alles mit einem falschen Befehl zerschießen konnte, geht man eher planvoll vor, anstatt wie heute üblich rumzuprobieren, weil es eh keine Anleitung mehr gibt. Erschwerend kam hinzu, daß der erste Linux-Rechner, den ich administrieren durfte, produktiv und 300 km entfernt war. Ich kannte zu der Zeit zwar schon Sun und HP, aber in so einer Situation lernt man, aufzupassen, was man tut :) Hanno
