Auf einem acht Jahre alten Smart Phone. Im Video wird gar nichts zur Installation gesagt, sondern einfach nur sagt einfach darauf hingewiesen, dass Android 9 auf dem alten Gerät läuft. Welches Custom ROM verwendet wird, wurde nicht gesagt - aber es ist ganz sicher kein System von Samsung, da Samsung für ein 8 Jahre altes Gerät schlicht kein aktuelles Android anbietet. Und "aktuell" ist Android 9 auch nicht mehr, das ist schon bei Version 10 angekommen und Version 11 steht auch schon vor der Tür. Custom ROMs bauen ist auch nicht all zu schwer, wenn man mit Softareentwicklung generell erfahrung hat und weiß, wie man Compiler etc. bedienen muss. Die Quellen dafür findet man auf <https://source.android.com/>. Die große Herausforderung sind die Kernelmodule für die alte Hardware - oft geht das nur, wenn man mit entsprechend alten Kerneln arbeitet.
