As I have said, if you don't claim that they represent the same
computation, no problem.

If you DO claim them to be the same computation, then it proves that it
isn't actually a computation, as the output is dependent on something
more than the input. Simple.

You have a bigger issue in that you need to explain how <H^> <H^>
sometimes encodes a halting computation and sometimes a non-halting
computation.

That H simulates ⟨Ĥ⟩ ⟨Ĥ⟩ creates a master slave relationship
between H and Ĥ.

The master can see exactly what the slave is doing.

The slave it totally unaware of the existence of the master.

The master can change its behavior on the basis of what the slave does.
The master sees that the slave aborts the simulation of its input and
this causes the masters input to halt.

The slave cannot change its behavior on the basis of what the master
does. The slaves sees that its input would never halt unless it aborts
the simulation of this input.

Thus the master slave relationship can and does cause an identical
function with the same input to have different behavior even if no one
ever noticed this before.

The master slave relationship can and does cause an identical function
with the same input:
(a) H simulates ⟨Ĥ⟩ ⟨Ĥ⟩
(b) Ĥ.qx simulates ⟨Ĥ⟩ ⟨Ĥ⟩
to have different behavior even if no one ever noticed this before.

Not if they are computations.

It seems that H isn't a computatation, which isn't a surprize.

As I explained before, you have the master slave backwards due to the
limitations of being compuations.

H^ has power over H since in includes a copy of it, and thus knows what
H will do, if H happens to be simulating it.

If the fact that H can see all of the behavior of Ĥ because H simulates
Ĥ yet Ĥ can see none of the behavior of H is simply ignored by the
theory of computation then TOC is wrong and must be corrected.

But you are incorrect in that statements as I have explained.

The fact that H^ is allowed to call H to gets H's answer says H^ knows
everything it needs to know about H.

THe fact that H only get to see a simulation of H^, and has to make its
decision in finite time, and can't simulate long enough to see the full
behavior of the copy of it, because the simulator H is ahead of the
simulated version of H.

YOU just don't understand how things work.

Your logic always seems to forget that H^ owns a copy of whatever H is,
and that copy provides it all the information it needs, and makes H^
change behavior when you try to vary H.

The simulated can never call its own simulator that is a very stupid

That is stupid to say. I never said that it calls the simulator that is
simulating it, it just uses the copy that has been included as part of
it. Since H^ is built after H has been defined, this is perfectly allowable.

If not, you are working in a non-Turing Complete environment.

Are you saying that H^ DOESN'T have a copy of H (slightly modified)
embedded in it like the proof says?

This notation refers to Turing machines and, for Turing machines, you
are wrong. The same state transition function can't produce different
transitions when presented with the same input.

When H simulates ⟨Ĥ⟩ ⟨Ĥ⟩ it can see that Ĥ.qx ⟨Ĥ⟩ ⟨Ĥ⟩ transitions to Ĥ.qn

When Ĥ.qx simulates ⟨Ĥ⟩ ⟨Ĥ⟩ it cannot see any of its slaves ever
transition to any final state.

If conventional computer science makes sure to ignore this it errs.

You tell us the TM at H^.qx is an exact copy of H. Identical state
transition functions generate identical machine configurations when
presented with the same strings on the tape. H <H^><H^> and H^.qx
<H^><H^> must both exhibit the same behaviour. If you continue to
ignore this, you err.

I find this particular sub-thread very odd because for months you've
been trying to make the case that, for your secret C code, the wrong
answer is the right one. You don't /need/ a top-level call of H(H_Hat,
H_Hat) to behave differently to the call to H embedded in H_Hat because
you have declared H(H_Hat, H_Hat) == false to be the right answer.

Why not make the same declaration for TMs? Just declare that H should
reject <H^><H^> and then the fact the "exact copy" of H embedded in H^
transitions to the rejecting state would not be an issue. Do you think
it's harder to make the case for the wrong answer when talking about
TMs?

When a pair of identical UTM / halt deciders are placed in a master
slave relationship the master can see that the slave transitions to its
final state of Ĥ.qn.

The slave at Ĥ.qx can see that none of the recursive simulations of its
input ever halts unless Ĥ.qx aborts the simulation of these inputs.

This provides the basis for identical code to have different behavior.

FALSE.

H is shown to be NOT a Computation.

That CAN'T be in the code, as it would be in ALL the copies of the code.

If there IS a difference in the code, then you did it wrong, and your
proof is void.

No. Given identical input, identical state transition functions TMs
make exactly the same computational steps. This is basic stuff, and I'm
not sure how I can help you any further.

I have been struggling to explain this.

It looks like the fact that H simulates ⟨Ĥ⟩ with a different set of
states than when Ĥ.qx simulates it own description makes the state
transitions between them different. The master slave relationship is
directly encoded in these differing state transitions.

The x86 code of H1(P,P) simulating P that invokes H(P,P) shows this
exact same relationship in complete detail.

If H^.qx and H.q0 have a different set of states coming from them, you
built H^ wrong.

Remember, the instructions for building H^ was to start with an EXACT
copy of H, and then make a few minor changes that only affect what
happens when we get to the qy state, which we don't in this case, so the
behavior MUST be identical.

If exact copies of code given the same inputs do not produce the same
results, then the whole concept of Simulation is broken, as the whole
concept of Simulation depends on the fact that knowing the instruction
sequence and all the data that is an input to the process, we can
recreate the EXACT set of states that the machine will go through.

Thus, if H^.qx <H^> <H^> and H.q0 <H^> <H^> do something different, you
have a problem with your proof. Either you built H^ wrong, or H isn't
actually a Turig Machine.

I'm talking about the incorrect things you've said about TMs. You keep
talking about code you won't show anyone. Just stop pretending to talk
about TMs and I'll stop pointing out where you are wrong.

So H isn't a Computation and can't be a Ddcider.

FAIL.
