Good to know that for 17 years you've been playing this silly word
game. And when I used the term "finite computation" were you pretending
this was different to stopping running and/or halting? Maybe there are
13 other ways in which a computation does not run forever but is not
halting?
You can't play these word games with the mathematics which is yet
another reason no one (and I'm as much to blame as anyone for this)
should have let you move away from talking about actual Turing machines.

I'm tempted to call that a lie, but I suspect you've simply forgotten
having once been clear that what you call the "input to Halts" halts (H
was called Halts back then). Of course, goodness know what you meant
by "halts" in those days.
But back to today's nonsense... Is it really worth adding another reason
why H is not be a halt decider? For H to be a halt decider H(P,I) == 0
only for computations P(I) that do not halt. The fact that you now seem
to be saying that the parameters (P,P) passed to H do not represent the
halting computation P(P) is just another way of saying that you reject
what a halt decider is:
(a) P(P) halts.
(b) H(P, P) == 0.
(c) H(P, I) == 0 is only correct if P(I) does not halt.
It's (c) you reject and exactly how or why is not really important.
