Also, you may just download the application from the (quite well stocked)
raspbian respository.

# apt-get update
# apt-get install slrn

or if you cannot find it, try 

$ apt-cache search <keyword> 

The update one above is just to see to it that you have an updated version
of the maps to applications. You may also want to do a 

# apt-get upgrade

followed by a 

# rm /var/cache/apt/archives/*.deb

to clean out the temp files generated by the upgrade.
