I have one of these mega cheap ones.

It has problems when the devices do not provide enough power to power it.
Sadly I do not have a RPi connected to it, so I cannot comment on how good it 
works with a RPi.

On the other hand, for under 5 USD including shipping, it is maybe worth 
trying.

I only know them combined with VGA as KVM switches.
