No real issues for me using Unison 2.2 in High Sierra. The "biggest"
problem is that it sometimes crashes when you try to add someone to the
killfile - they still get added and you simply re-open Unison
(cancelling the reporting since it's no longer being developed anyway).

I don't use binary newsgroups, so I don't know if there are other
problems with those. I'm also using free newsservers, so I don't know
if there are problems with newsserver logins.

I tried Hogwasher and found it to be awful and kludgey, but that was
quite a while ago so there may have been a newer, cleaned up version
since then.

I once pursued binaries and they both worked fine. I didn't like the
crashing, and didn't find 2.2 really added anything.

Same here, but why bother. I don't waste a 20th of the time I once did
on usenet.

Show me an image of what YOU see in André's message headers.

I'll explain just how to do that if you have difficulty. OK?

I don't have any difficulty taking a screenshot, thanks.

You most obviously *DO*!

When you are sufficiently mature and move up to macOS Mojave you'll find
it's REALLY easy!

You can stop playing dumb now, and demonstrate that there is, or so you
say, no 'error' in the message header.

Just because I look better than you did at my age, doesn't make me a boy.

The topic has been discussed many times through the years. None of it
needs to be regurgitated now. Go ahead and open Google Groups and start

Mojave has only been available for a matter of MONTHS!

Irrelevant. Start your searches any time you want to learn more.

I had to use siri ion y mac yesterday. I had left my phone upstairs and
wanted to create a reminder to do something next week.

It worked, once I figured out I needed to put on my headset because that
was the active mic.

But yeah, that was the first time, I think.

No novelty here. I'm an information glutton. I find the utility to be
utterly worthless for anything more complex than time-of-day and
weather questions (and it fails many weather questions. Ask it for
yesterday's high temperature.)

One problem I see is lack of initiative on Apple's part. Apple is
heavily involved with IBM. Why isn't Siri a front end for "IBM's
Watson?" That would be an improvement.

Make no mistake, though; Watson is not an "AI." ³AI² is marketing hype,
a purposely made myth at best, a hoax at worst. It does not exist if
the standard of comparison is Homo sapiens. We often make human
intelligence the butt of jokes, but the fact is that as far as we know,
we are the only smart things in the Universe.
