Unless you think that $7 beer and $5 hot dog at the football stadium is also somehow Obama's fault?

It's more of a business var renter trap.
Vacationers usually have time to scout for a station.
Businessmen usually leave a meeting knowing there is gas near the
airport car return and they don't care what the price is, it goes on the
expense account.
If I have time to get to the airport, I'll gas up a few km away if I
can. But 7 times out of 10 it's an area I don't know well enough or
more likely I'll be the last guy to board. Again.

It's primary business was as a main dealer rather than selling fuel. It did however offer accounts for fuel, so various businesses used it for that facility, in particular one company with a fleet of salesmen driving company cars. At a time when most places were changing to self service, some folks liked having someone who would check their tyres, water etc. so were willing to pay the premium. It was more of the order of 10-15% higher than the cheapest, nothing like as high as the above example. -- Paul Sture
