Nope, I used to swap keyboards fairly regularly and OS X has always¹
tracked different keyboards differently. Sometimes it can't TELL that a
really generic keyboard is different from another really generic
keyboard, but that's very rare.

My little brother got his arm stuck in the microwave. So my mom had to
