It's a default text selection feature, as I explained. > When I'm running Amadeus Pro, the mouse cursor does change when over > a sound track, and I've noticed that since moving to Yosemite, it > sometimes doesn't revert to a normal cursor when moving away from that > app. Only very occasionally, and I haven't seen it in a while (since > 10.10.1 came along? - dunno). As I explained in Alan's "disappearing cursor" thread, applications can control the cursor in Mac OS X and do sometimes fail to restore or set the cursor back to what it was supposed to be, due to bugs in said applications. While it's always possible that bugs exist in the core OS regarding the setting of the cursor, it's less likely. Very often, it is the application itself that is responsible for the behavior. -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter. I often ignore posts from Google.
