$50 is all you need for that.

I've learned from experience that for many, many things, Crossover
simply isn't a viable solution. It's just not compatible with a whole
lot of stuff, and even when a program does run under it, often it's woth
reduced or buggy functionality.

Good luck with that as well.

A virtual machine is the best bet.

With a virtual machine it's a no-brainer to share files between Mac OS X
and Wwindows. Click a check box and you're done. Yep, it's that easy. No
futzing with Windows sharing settings at all.

Which is why a VM is a better way to go, IMO.

I'm not sure what you've been doing, but I've used various versions of
Windows for many years and, while its certainly not as easy to configure
or as problem-free as Mac OS and *nix networking, I haven't had that
much trouble with it.

I'm not sure what you mean by doing work on a Mac from inside a Windows
PC.

No need for it if you use a VM in Mac OS.

Meh. Windows does suck big time compared with other operating systems;
but it's not all *that* hard to get it to do what you want.
