It wouldn't work for me because I have photographs that are financially or artistically valuable; writings that are financially or artistically important. Astronomical research that I would not wish to re-do from scratch. Other photos and writings that are personally valuable. Family documents going back 200 years that I enjoy looking at from time to time, but the originals of which I store in a fireproof bank vault. I have financial records that could be reconstructed only with the expenditure of much time (= money). One-of-a-kind audio and video recordings that could not be reproduced at any price.
