Hi. I have an IMac running Yosemite.

For the sake of this post, I'll say my computer is named "Computer."

A few weeks ago, I noticed that my Mac changed its name by adding a 2
in parentheses: "Computer (2)"

I went into the Sharing preferences and removed the "(2)" so its name
was back to "Computer."

I did that a few weeks ago.

I just looked in the Finder again and noticed the "(2)" has been added again.

Does anyone know why the "(2)" keeps being added?

Thanks.

Sky
