I'm using a 2.7 GHz iMac running 10.9. I noticed my machine wasn't actually going to sleep, so I went into the preferences and saw sleep was turned off. Huh. Wonder why I did that. I turned it back on, and discovered why: on waking from sleep, I received the error message that one of my drives had been ejected improperly. That's a bad thing. I have two external USB drives hooked up at the moment. Is there some setting I might be missing here? -- Chris Mack "If we show any weakness, the monsters will get cocky!"
