I've got Mavericks Server running on a Mac mini that runs various services for my network. I've got the Server application installed on two other computers on the network: a Mac Pro, and a MacBook Pro for remote management. When I launch the Server application on the MacBook Pro, it automatically connects to the Mac mini without asking. But when I launch it on the Mac Pro, it presents me with this screen, where I must click "Other Mac" and then another screen where I must select the Mac mini to connect to it, followed by a third screen to specify the administrative user credentials (which are already filled in from the key chain). I'm trying to figure out why there is a difference in behavior. Obviously, I would prefer the automatic connect behavior exhibited on the MacBook Pro. The web searches I've done so far offer no help on the topic. I've looked for a way to specify automatic connection in the Server application, but don't see any such settings. As far as I can tell, there are no preference files in ~/Library/Preferences or /Library/Preferences on the MacBook Pro that might cause this different behavior. Perhaps such defaults are stored elsewhere. Any ideas are welcome! -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter. I often ignore posts from Google.
