I bought an LCD screen that had a bunch of "gunk" on the screen. Windex and Isopropyl Alcohol got rid of most of it. Still remaining are some hard black dots that appear to be fused to the matte surface. I thought the alcohol was taking it off, but some remains. I haven't tried mechanical removal scraping it with a fingernail. I haven't tried heating the Windex or Alcohol. It's quite usable the way it is, but the perfectionist in me wants it gone. It's not worth a big blotch on the screen from using the wrong chemicals. Suggestions? mike
