Hi Oliver. One of these days I am going to find time to get back to my Apple
II C programming. But recent years seem to require more attention to real
life rather than hobby life...

I was simply hoping (out-loud) that I can somehow convince John Brooks to
put together a cc65 Library Routine to load a Brooks Image the same way I
have written routines to load multi-palette SHR images in cc65. I suspect he
would be better at coding such a thing than I am. (or perhaps I am simply
intellectually lazy and I want him to do the work)...

Well, then I hope he changes his mind. cc65 is infinetly faster, more modern
and smaller than Aztec C65, or some other bloated old C compiler :) I
couldn't continue to bash cc65 and ignore the evidence of its excellence,
and perhaps someday John will change his mind somewhat... because for those
not as hardcore as a bare-metal assembly programmer, cc65 offers a far more
elegant and effective alternative to crappy old AppleSoft BASIC.

As for me I am not a purist:) Or even historically close... just someone who
has had some fun.

Regards,

Bill
