Hello,
I am new to Mathematica and cannot figure out this syntax problem:

Syntax::tsntxi: "[((x-a)/A)^2+((y-b)/B)^2-2*r*(x-a)*(y-b)/(A*B)]" is incomplete; more input is needed.

Can someone give me some insight?
Thank you very much.

Is that your complete expression - because if so, it is obviously wrong
because it starts with "["? Pasting the expression inside [] into
Mathematica seems to work just fine.

Sometimes, it is worth typing an expression in again if you can see no
obvious reasons for an error (or cut and paste the expression outside
Mathematica, and then back in) because occasionally the box structure of
an expression can get corrupted in non-obvious ways.
