this might work:

y = {1, 3, 0, -4}
x = {1, 2, 10, 50}
ListPlot[y
 , PlotStyle -> PointSize[0.03]
 , Ticks -> {Transpose[{Range[Length[y]], x}], Automatic}
 ]
