Current approaches ... won't work worth damn.
Gotta find some 'quantum tricks'. SOME way
to, even for a sub-nanosecond, to screw with
   the physics.

Still think "dark matter" is an hallucination.

"Invisible Stuff" ??? Luminiferous Aether ???

   Something ELSE going on.

One theory I like is Le Sage:
 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Sage%27s_theory_of_gravitation
I like it because it gives a mechanical explanation to gravity,
Also it explains why clocks move slower near a heavy object (say planet)
as there more Le Sage particles are intercepted, matter gets less compressed,
pendulum gets longer, clocks slow down.
It also explains the mysterious heating of some heavenly bodies,
and it puts an end the the black-hole infinities babble
as there is a point where all Le Sage particles are intercepted.
There are NO infinities in nature!!

Not really. Push enough together hard enough and lots of pieces fly out.
Like trying to assemble a motorbike gearbox with C clips

In the UK we call these 'pingfuckits'

Fusion is just trying to hold it together and not let the pingfuckits
escape...

Yes, motorbikes, I had 2, one Matchless bought from the army surplus,
took it apart..
I stopped with motorbikes after some near accident
Then later got a Ford Mustang V8
Now THAT was a nice car!
But I do not expect crushing a gearbox to cause more energy then you put into
it crushing it.

It is a fine language, capable of the basic operations supported
by C and a vast compendium of object-oriented and template
features, and a standard library rivaling Python.

Yes. And they were carried by bards

As songs and sagas and myths

The Bible was a written down record of some of them

Lights in the sky, great floods, cities gone in a flash. Tsunamis

I remember being amazed at how far a slingshot could sling a

(I would also shoot a BB straight up to see how close to me I
could get it to land. A couple of times me and a friend had
BB duels.)

No.

Bards carried stories. It was important and it reminds people of what
was done long time ago. It wasn't news report. But I'm not surprised you
can't differentiate between what happened yesterday and what people did
a long time ago. It wasn't textbooks. But I'm not surprised you can't
differentiate between the things you need to learn to work everyday and
the things you need to remember from past action which can explain why
things are what they are today.

> I thought it was promulgated by voice and memory....

Ultimately, it was promulgated by people. But what your mother was
teaching you is different to what professors were teaching you, which is
different to what reporters are telling you. I know you can tell the
difference but you are answering a message written by someone who can't.

News report and textbook in pre-historic times is an hallucination an AI
wouldn't make. In pre-historic times, people need to truly understand
what they learned: it was the difference between life and death.

The most impressive with this sentence is: you truly believe you are
that guy. When your greatest accomplishment is to have being able to
avoid winning a Darwin award to this day (which is impressive by itself
but doesn't help humanity to progress).

In pre-historic times, the equivalent of "news reports and textbooks"
were the oral teachings and stories that were passed between generations.

My original point remains valid. Then as now, very few human beings discover
reality through their own force of will. Most will simply regurgitate the
knowledge that is given to them and that is essentially AI.

I have accomplished more in the last 25 hours than you will accomplish
in half a lifetime.

Or you could say in prehistoric times people hallucinated various gods and
demons to explain events. As Nietzsche pointed out humans are artists,
painting their version of what they perceive.

And that process still goes on today.
We have mysterious gods called 'gravity' or 'electricity' The only
difference is that we found that SOME of them seem to obey 'rules'. And
learning those rules is more useful than praying to them. Since they
don't appear to actually be 'alive' let alone 'conscious'

But the process hasn't changed in a million years. It is the proposition
that behind this world there exists a more fundamental one, peopled with
strange forces, that cause this one to be what it is. The entities have
changed, but not the proposition.

"The mere existence of creationists refutes the proposition that humans
are the result of 'intelligent' design"

All political activity makes complete sense once the proposition that
all government is basically a self-legalising protection racket, is
fully understood.
