I have some problems installing Debian/Wheezy on an Acer Extensa EX2509-C0YR laptop (and Google doesn't seem all that helpful tonight). I've managed to come as far as booting the Debian installer from an USB memory stick, selecting language and keyboard. But finding the "cd drive" (the file system on the USB memory stick) is beyond both me and the Debian installer. Any suggestions for getting further? Greetings, Jacob -- »And what about homo sapiens? Direct copy of the .iso image file to to the raw device /dev/sdX with dd/cp/cat, or use of some tool such as unetbootin ? Enter an installer shell in console 2 or 3, check that the USB controller is correctly managed and the stick is correctly detected with dmesg, lspci, lsusb, fdisk -l...
