Just how virgin can you get? > Do extra-virgins only get a little bit pregnant? I get the Kirkland extra virgin out of habit. RFK Jr. asserts producers play fast and loose with the labeling. I believe that but I've never seen him recommend a brand. I've seen references to olive oil tasting events but I don't have enough taste buds left to bother. I don't deep fry and only smoke olive oil if I'm not paying attention. I did get a bottle of avocado oil but for my use didn't see an advantage. I do prefer mayonnaise made with avocado to the store brands. Even the ones that mention olive oil on the label wave an olive in the general direction of the soy, canola, or Mobil 1 that makes up the bulk of the ingredients.
