The French always were snippy about their foodstuffs so Roquefort like cheese is often labeled Blue or Bleu. It's like Champagne being called sparkling wine. Over the last few decades there has been less compliance with French quibbles. There are plenty of domestic goat cheese varieties. My favorite has cranberries and cinnamon but it only appears around Christmas. It's sort of a local version of Whole Foods. The other supermarkets have a good selection, some more than others. The specialty cheeses have their own section that's usually in a different area than the commodity cheeses.
