I am suspicious of how he did it, but ... He also rebooted for the stupidest reasons. And, when he caught an fsck at boot, he swore and flipped the power off and back on. (I am glad I do not work for him anymore.) I am just going though withdraw pains that RH removed the "-F" from shutdown and was looking for an alternative that was easy to remember.
