No, only my experience as someone who stared the company archives.
CDs were re-written every 5 years or so. The discs showed no defects,
but we replaced them anyway. For DVD's, we encoutered troubles even before 5
years. No everywhere, of course, but enought that we had to seek other
solutions.

Today I don't handle archives anymore. But mostly, files are stored in a
document handling system, and kept in an online database.
Good for some things, bad for others.
