I have an HP CP1515n, which is almost the same as a 1518n, same "driver". Maybe he typed wrong. This printer is capable of directly printing a postcript file without using a driver, so that you can test connectivity this way. CUPS does not find the printer on its own, because normally the firewall blocks the packets needed for this to work. Instead, just tell CUPS the IP of the printer. -- Cheers, Carlos. --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: news@netfront.net ---
