While I haven't tried OpenCL just yet (may take a couple of weeks to get to that, unfortunately), the basic graphics worked quite well with the ‘radeon’ X.Org driver currently in Debian Wheezy. On the other hand, 3D (we've tried glxgears(1)) seemed a bit flacky. As per the sensors(1) output, the chip easily heats up to 75 °C, which is somewhat worse than I've expected (though I'm not that familiar with modern GPU's.)
