False accusation and you discount people even existing. That is bizarre and

Wow... you really suck at making reasoned points. But keep in mind what you
are doing: You glom on to people who have found patterns by looking at drips
of evidence hand-picked from oceans of data.

You connect unrelated dots in much the same way people find constellations
in the stars.

Notice your false accusations about me not approving of someone because of
some believe the media is moral and proper. This is a total fabrication on
your part. A lie. You also lie and claim I have no opinion of my own, when
it is you who has glommed to the ideas of others as they find patterns by
looking at drips of evidence hand-picked from oceans of data.

You attack and lash out... where I use evidence and logic and data.

Sure it is. The goal post before you moved it was on your irrational
conspiracy theory nonsense and the type of sickness it takes in a person to
believe that type of insanity just so they can feel a bit of comfort.

You moved it to a guy with a talk show who, as far as I know, does not even
focus on the topic of your insane conspiracy theory nonsense. At least when
Silver Slimer focuses on a show it is one that *does* speak about such
insane conspiracy theories.

My dismissal of your BS conspiracy theories is boring - but there is no
reason to think it is anything other than accurate. No *reason*. Sure, you
*emotionally* do not want it to be true. I do not care. As far as whatever
conspiracy theory you are now talking about with JFK, I do not care. Let's
stick to one of your insane, self-serving views at a time!

Of course there are military operations. It goes all the way back to
WW2 and Truman and his "secret government".

No arguement from me.

However, 9-11 and Sandy Hook don't apply.

No way.
No how.

Want a conspiracy?
TWA 800.......
Huge....
Start looking.
I lived it.
Right up the street from the "ground zero" operations if you will.
It stinks of conspiracy if you ask me.

Here is the reasoning:

1) The government does things that are scary and wrong.
2) Something scary and wrong happened.
3) I will assume it is the government so I feel better, no
matter how offensive this is to those who lost loved
   ones.

He is basically saying his feelings are more important than the families.

My default stance on just about all of the news coming in from the
United States government is that it's bullshit until irrefutable
evidence is shown. I believe absolutely nothing about what they say
until scientists demonstrate clear evidence that none of their
statements are lies. They history precedes them and it would be foolish
to immediately accept a word of what they say. I'm going to be looking
up more on TWA 800 during my period break later on.

Right: you start with the assumption that things are false and then look for
evidence to back your views. This is confirmation bias on your part. In
doing so, you glom on to people who have found patterns by looking at drips
of evidence hand-picked from oceans of data.

You connect unrelated dots in much the same way people find constellations
in the stars.

> I believe absolutely nothing about what they say until scientists demonstrate

How would one do this? But your paranoia leads you to accept irrational
conspiracy theories. Note, I am not suggesting you should not be skeptical -
not at all - but in your eagerness to "prove" that you are special and in
the know, you accept the word of even *less* reliable sources such as
InfoWars. Completely irrational of you.

> They history precedes them and it would be foolish to immediately accept a
> word of what they say. I'm going to be looking up more on TWA 800 during my

You buy into what Infowars says... then belittle others for believing what
the mass of evidence shows.

You would rather feel "safe" with a false boogieman than to accept you
cannot understand a complex and unpredictable world. So be it.

How so? By not accepting your emotion-filled conclusion that your need to
*feel* more secure in an unpredictable world is more important than the
lives of 26 people (including 20 children) and the people whose lives were
affected by their deaths.

Your claim is irrational.

You conspiracy theory nonsense is completely unsupported and, frankly,
grossly offensive to the memories of those who died, their families, and
those who knew them. You have the right, of course, to push your idiotic,
unsupported nonsense, but do not expect reasonable people to not call you
out on your paranoid conspiracy nonsense.

The only reason I can figure for why a faggot like you lives in the great
state of Arizona is that somebody must have dropped your dumb ass out in
the desert hoping you wouldn't make it.

See: you lash out in anger. Remember:

  <http://goo.gl/6LV04> [Slate.com]
    -----
First of all, why do people believe conspiracy theories?

There are number of factors, but probably one of the most
important ones in this instance is that, paradoxically, it gives
people a sense of control. People hate randomness, they dread the
sort of random occurrences that can destroy their lives, so as a
mechanism against that dread, it turns out that it¹s much easier
to believe in a conspiracy. Then you have someone to blame, it¹s
    not just randomness.

What are the psychological forces at play in conspiracy thinking?

Basically what¹s happening in any conspiracy theory is that people
have a need or a motivation to believe in this theory, and it¹s
psychologically different from evidence-based thinking. A
conspiracy theory is immune to evidence, and that can pretty well
serve as the definition of one. If you reject evidence, or
reinterpret the evidence to be confirmation of your theory, or you
ignore mountains of evidence to focus on just one thing, you¹re
probably a conspiracy theorist. We call that a self-sealing nature
    of reasoning.
    -----

That fits you very well. Also Silver Slimer and GreyCloud. Amazing to watch.

I see. Your response to a request for evidence to support your bullshit
theories is simply to decline to provide that evidence. No surprise there.
(And no suprise that you support Obama).

Evidence for what? You already provided the proof that you are pushing an
insane conspiracy theory... you already provided the proof you are utter
scum who backs people who abuse mourning parents. I mean, really, how stupid
can you be to need "support" for your own posts from *today*!

Or maybe you want proof that Sandy Hook happened... as if that is in
question? It is not. If you want to pretend it is you have to show
evidence... extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence. If you really
need evidence *again* about Sandy Hook I can point you to, literally, dozens
if not hundreds of news stories about it.

So in your mind a news story constitutes evidence?

The overwhelming mass of evidence with *nothing* to suggest it is in any way
significantly wrong is one thing you are missing. Here is more of what you
are missing:

  <http://goo.gl/f3pqK2> [Psychology Today]
    -----
Melley proposes that conspiracy thinking arises from a combination
of two factors, when someone: 1) holds strong individualist values
and 2) lacks a sense of control. The first attribute refers to
people who care deeply about an individual's right to make their
own choices and direct their own lives without interference or
obligations to a larger system (like the government). But combine
this with a sense of powerlessness in one's own life, and you get
what Melley calls agency panic, "intense anxiety about an apparent
loss of autonomy" to outside forces or regulators.

When fervent individualists feel that they cannot exercise their
independence, they experience a crisis and assume that larger
forces are to blame for usurping this freedom. "For one who
refuses to relinquish the assumptions of liberal individualism,
such newly revealed forms of regulation frequently seem so
unacceptable or unbelievable that they can only be met with
    anxiety, melodrama, or panic."
    ...
For one thing, conspiracy theories help us cope with distressing
events and make sense out of them. Conspiracies assure us that bad
things don't just happen randomly. Conspiracies tell us that
someone out there is accountable, however unwittingly or secretly
or incomprehensibly, so it's possible to stop these people and
punish them and in due course let everyone else re-establish
control over their own lives. Conspiracies also remind us that we
shouldn't blame ourselves for our predicaments; it's not our
fault, it's them! In these ways, believing in conspiracies serves
many of the same self-protective functions as scapegoating.
    -----

  <http://goo.gl/JQ4NV> [Psychology Today]
    -----
The number sounded wildly inflated. Conspiracy theorists have a
grandiose view of themselves as heroes "manning the barricades of
civilization" at an urgent "turning point" in history, Hofstadter
held. Jones has a "messiah complex," Black contends. Grandiosity
is often a defense against underlying feelings of powerlessness.

Even well-grounded skeptics are prone to connect disparate dots
when they feel disempowered. In a series of studies, Jennifer
Whitson of the University of Texas and Adam Galinsky of
Northwestern demonstrated that people primed to feel out of
control are particularly likely to see patterns in random stimuli.

  <http://goo.gl/v0dU9> [NY Times]
    -----
"If you know the truth and others don't, that's one way you can
reassert feelings of having agency," Swami says. It can be
comforting to do your own research even if that research is
flawed. It feels good to be the wise old goat in a flock of sheep.

Surprisingly, Swami's work has also turned up a correlation
between conspiracy theorizing and strong support of democratic
principles. But this isn't quite so strange if you consider the
context. Kathryn Olmsted, a historian at the University of
California, Davis, says that conspiracy theories wouldn't exist in
a world in which real conspiracies don't exist. And those
conspiracies -- Watergate or the Iran-contra Affair -- often involve
manipulating and circumventing the democratic process. Even people
who believe that the Sandy Hook shooting was actually a drama
staged by actors couch their arguments in concern for the
    preservation of the Second Amendment.
    ...
Psychologists aren¹t sure whether powerlessness causes conspiracy
theories or vice versa. Either way, the current scientific
thinking suggests these beliefs are nothing more than an extreme
form of cynicism, a turning away from politics and traditional
media ‹ which only perpetuates the problem.

  <http://goo.gl/psXzzr> [Smart Planet]
    -----
A new article in Scientific American tries to figure that out.
Michael Shermer outlines in his "Skeptic" column four traits of
    those who believe:

    * patternicity, or a tendency to find meaningful patterns in
      random noise;
    * agenticity, or the bent to believe the world is controlled by
      invisible intentional agent;
    * confirmation bias, or the seeking and finding of confirmatory
      evidence for what we already believe;
    * hindsight bias, or tailoring after-the-fact explanations to what
      we already know happened.

A conspiracy theory takes flight when all of these are concocted
into a heady mix of conviction. It's called "conspiratorial
cognition," and it's the fuel driving belief in Bigfoot, Area 51's
    UFOs and the paranormal.
    ...
    Some points from his article:

    * People who believe in one theory are more likely to believe in
      others.
    * There is a strong association between income and belief levels:
the better-off are less likely to believe in conspiracy
theories. (Perhaps this can be chalked up to education.)
    * Instability makes most of us uncomfortable; people prefer to
imagine living in a predictable, safe world. Some conspiracy
theories offer accounts that feel "safe" or "predictable."
    * Conspiracy theories often mutate over time in light of new or
      contradicting evidence.
    * Conspiracies usually require a big newsworthy event on which to
      peg it.

But it's Shermer who drives the point home. He writes:

"The more elaborate a conspiracy theory is, and the more people that
would need to be involved, the less likely it is true."

Conspiracy theories: Why we believe the unbelievable

Why do so many people refuse to accept this simple and obvious
    conclusion? The answer: psychology.

There are three psychological effects at work here, starting with
"cognitive dissonance," or the discomfort felt when holding two
ideas that are not in harmony. We attempt to reduce the dissonance
by altering one of the ideas to be in accord with the other.
    ...
A second psychological effect is the "monological belief system,"
or "a unitary, closed-off worldview in which beliefs come together
in a mutually supportive network," in the words of University of
Kent researchers Michael J. Wood, Karen M. Douglas and Robbie M.
Sutton in a 2012 paper titled "Dead and Alive: Beliefs in
Contradictory Conspiracy Theories." A conspiracy theory, they
wrote, is "a proposed plot by powerful people or organizations
working together in secret to accomplish some (usually sinister)
goal." Once you believe that "one massive, sinister conspiracy
could be successfully executed in near-perfect secrecy [it]
suggests that many such plots are possible."
    ...
A third psychological effect is "confirmation bias," or the
tendency to look for and find confirming evidence for what you
already believe and to ignore disconfirming evidence. Once you
believe, say, that 9/11 was an inside job by the Bush
administration, you focus on the handful of anomalies that fateful
day and connect them into a seemingly meaningful pattern, while
ignoring the massive evidence pointing to Al Qaeda.

The mass of evidence that has been, well, everywhere. I already showed you
pictures and names... and explained why it would take thousands upon
thousands of people to push the type of insane conspiracy nonsense you push.
You do not care. You only care that you do not have to deal with a "random"
world where bad things happen in ways you cannot predict or explain.

So be it: you do not care about logic and reason and rationality.
