I really don't have an explanation for a bunch of useless numbers with names
attached, proving nothing and changing even less.

>"Popkin" -- what kind of fuckard name is that?

Had you Googled it; You might have gotten some answers. The correct one in
this case escaped me. But it does seem to be a name that seems to get
assholes upset.

>Mommy's little Popkin. LOL!

FYI: Mommy called me "dear".

BTW: you can think I am whoever you want. It just doesn't matter. What you
think or do, does not enrich me or harm me, in any way.

Now that we have settled that; can I do anything else for you?

I seem to recall that. Your mother, sister and wife were the main
attractions. But the guys were real gentlemen, they only dick slapped them
very easy. One of the rags liked to rub the cock heads all around her lips.
One of the bitches got a load in her eye!! As for me, I wouldn't touch them
with your dick. But I'm sure you never had a problem.

I remember that movie...your mother, sister and wife were the stars. It was
called, if my memory is correct, " Big cocks fucking scabby cunts". And
they looked pretty scabby.

It's not about making me happy, Popkin. But if you want to make me happy,
you can fix your brain-dead newsreader, which appears to be "Microsoft Windows
Live Mail 16.4.3528.331" and which is having some kind of problem with
the quote prefix. I tried to tidy things up.

Now, back to the story...

Yes, Walter Myer is the currently most used gym of Michael Patelmo, 80 years
old guy from Stuart, Florida. He mostly post to CSMA so it was strange to see
him here :)

Yeah, he do mostly post to CSMA. :)

And he in a wheelchair and too old to go to the gym. :)

One other thing. There is a chance that Steve Carroll, both of them, and
snit are really the same person. At one time there was a real person
Steve Carroll in CSMA but at some point he stopped posting and then
reappeared and shortly following that the real snit/Steve Carroll wars
started up.
I don't subscribe to that explanation but others do and it does seem
plausible.

What do you mean?

Well, I developed a few .jsp pages 15 years ago. Does that count?

I will definitely be doing some web development this year.

I doubt I'll ever develop mobile apps - though it would be cool to see
the wife running one of my apps on her phone.

It seemed to me that you were intent on staying away from a relational db, preferring to use a document based store instead (which is why I suggested you look at mongo).

What you did counts but I think you'll like it more now, much more if you are using Python and you start using a framework. I've seen some Django and Flask tuts, good stuff.

That's the thing, you don't need to write them natively... and especially so if they don't address any of the devices's hardware capabilities (i.e gyroscope). If you make your web stuff fluid and responsive, you're good to go. Your 'app' will work on computers and mobile devices of all kinds because the browser is the OS.

Still not following you.

What gave you the idea I wanted to stay away from a relational db?

Googled for 'flask tuts' and the first was:

http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/an-introduction-to-pythons-flask-framework--net-28822

Looks interesting.

(Never heard of a 'tut' before. A short or introductory tutorial?)

Don't you need to do significant work to make an 'm' version? Deal with
scaling and sizing, etc? I've seen a bunch of websites that look real
bad on a phone.

Maybe it's the same thing that cause PK to mention "document oriented DB" ;)

There is more work involved but it's not that difficult.

Quit lying... he failed. He used somebody else's code.

MongoDB seems to be doing well. Started in 2007, they have nearly 20
offices around the world. One here in Atlanta, right near where I used
to work.

https://www.mongodb.com/office-locations

"MongoDB stores data records as BSON documents. BSON is a binary
representation of JSON documents...

"Specification Version 1.0
BSON is a binary format in which zero or more key/value pairs are stored
as a single entity. We call this entity a document."

yuck.

Rows and columns ftw...

How are you using MongoDB and JavaScript in real life?

For some of the win, yeah... but a lot off things have changed while you were asleep, Rump(elstiltskin).

> How are you using MongoDB and JavaScript in real life?

Right now only in MEAN stack apps locally but it's widely used for lots of things by a lot of companies:

(it's not the only fact file game in town)

gold is nice.

Sure they have... tell us again:

* "Which [Windows] users? Not to ones that are doing the majority of
their computer using mobile devices, you know the vast majority of
    users."

* "The [Windows corporate and consumer] apps that are being *totally*
eclipsed by mobile app that, you know... run on Linux?"

* "Being that you can do the most common tasks, previously only done
on the desktop, on a tablet or smart phone, the average user
probably uses one of his mobile apps at a ratio of 10 to 1 with
one of his desktop apps (if it's even that close)."

* "As to the 10x number [referenced above], it's likely *way* low..."

* "The majority [of users]... people who are using WAY more apps on
mobile devices than they are running *anything* by MS."

You slunk away last time.

"With MongoDB, we can store our documents in a JSON-like format, write
JSON queries on our ExpressJS and NodeJS based server, and seamlessly
pass JSON documents to our AngularJS frontend."

SLAP!

Kohlmann made fun of what I admitted was a simple gcd algorithm, and
when I said 'write it yourself' the cheater came back with a call to a
built-in function.

One: There is no reason to suspect that Peter is an actual programmer. So
keep that in mind and cut him some slack (though if he mocking you and
boasting then that goes by the wayside).

Two: Was there any reason to not use a built-in function? If it already
exists and works well why not use it? Seems better than reinventing the
wheel.
