Here are the two tasks in question... mine and then yours you based on mine: * From a single online recipe (or art project, lesson plan, whatever) save it and email a PDF version where you add notes to it. Now I know this can be done on Linux; save, open, edit, email. Just curious to see how you people would generally do it and how streamlined the workflow would be. The videos cover more use cases. For example how would you show the benefits of PDF Services or proxy icons with a script? Because Snit is such a swell guy (a fathead who thinks his sh*t doesn't stink), one of the first errors I found I pointed out in COLA... Snit went and fixed it right away, though, he denied having done so. If one of these clips I pointed to above happens to not be in the state I just said (with the mentioned errors), it's not a problem as I have the originals... and he knows it, which is probably why he didn't bother fixing those. I wanted it to be more flexible and figure them out how many pages it needed to use based on the first URL. Files were MUCH larger than mine and less usable (though at first yours did not have the headers and stuff mine did... I later removed those from mine) But to get back to the point of your accusations: you and Peter BOTH insisted I had cheated. You could not believe OS X allowed me to do YOUR task so well (even better than you asked for): get the recipes, download them as PDFs, have them at a size much smaller than yours, have them where text could be selected and I could do easy lookups and the like. > But who cares about this now, all these months later? This is a bad pattern for you: falsely accusing people of things you have NO evidence for and NO reason to think are true. Do you not see why this is a bad thing? With your task: I never did really get WHY someone would want to do it... but it was just an exercise you selected. It was fun. It was based on tech and even for those who have no such need it gave a good reason to show some of the technologies and techniques available in the different platforms. It was pretty cool... I appreciated it. I really wish there was a lot more of that in COLA. You did the same thing with your system wide scripts... things which to some extent emulated what OS X offers with greater context.
