It's classic Apple "form over function" design. They are facing a
class-action lawsuit over the keyboards on the 2016-now model of
Macbook Pro. They slightest bit of dust can stop a key from working,
and they are completely unserviceable - the entire keyboard, and a
bunch of stuff attached to the bottom of it, must be replaced.

A $700 repair, because of Apple's poor design, and the replacement you
get has the same design problem!

Well, they saved a half a millimeter, over a more-robust keyboard
design, so it's all "worth it". That's what professionals who spend
thousands of dollars on a laptop "want", apparently.

No, it's a nice feature on a high-end laptop. Of course, Apple again
gets it wrong, by making their latest Macbook Pro Thunderbolt-only.
*No* USB ports! Now, that is just horseshit design.

We can thank overrated "genius" Steve Jobs for that.

Truly pathetic on a device which costs way more than something comparable
from the PC side. I might be in the minority, but I want my laptop to
have utility (Blu-Ray, responsive keyboard, good GPU, large screen) way
more than beauty.

$700 because of a keyboard? Was it built by God Himself? Geez Apple sucks.

As we all know, pretty computers help a man/woman to pick up people of
the opposite gender. That's why, when these people go to coffee shops
with their tuque and scarf on and unveil their latest Apple machine, they
are immediately propositioned... they definitely _don't_ stay within the
coffee shops, on their free wifi, browsing their Facebook feeds and
increasing their self-loathing and misery for hours at a time.

Actually, Apple believes in being customer-friendliness and will happily
sell you adapters to turn that Thunderbolt port into a VGA or USB one for
$30 a pop. That's so much better than just having a USB port built in!

Enough already. You're again trying to push your ego when you have no skill. You're the court jester and your many incoherent scripts show this. But the Script-Troller feels the need to please the cult-like herd of convenient friends. So be it. Of course, the only concern that concerns the Script-Troller is appearing "the winner", and if he can not have that he will post more evidence to actively slap truly honest people down, which is idiotic as hell. I remain unconvinced that these posts are unequivocally scripted. It's a prank call. the Script-Troller has already decided what he is going to say before he calls. What you say just a reaction. What Klaus Schadenfreude says just a reaction. Perhaps you use it wrong. Do you not comprehend the use of VPN?

I know, he was only influential in what we now see as the modern
desktop, laptop, cell phone, tablet, smart watch, the Internet, and
more. No sign of vision there!

As noted, he (and Apple in general) have made MANY mistakes. That
happens when you are taking risks and pushing technology. That happens
when you are experimenting with UI principles and hardware design. If
they -- or anyone -- never makes any mistakes they are playing things
too safe.

It's fscking ridiculous, but serviceability and upgradability are
clearly not important, to crApple.

I might forgive that, in less-expensive consumer-level products, but I
can't, in expensive "pro" products. A Macbook Pro can easily cost
$4,000!

Yup. Unfortunately this is what we have to put up with. Psychopaths who have no reason for being here other than to troll. Klaus 'The Moron' Schadenfreude is just thrilled that Sandman is on the other end. Imagine if Klaus 'The Moron' Schadenfreude walked up to a wall and delivered the punch line. It wouldn't be amusing in any way. When I first posted, I wanted to be equitable and open minded. I gave Klaus 'The Moron' Schadenfreude more than a reasonable person generally would. The pathological liar does it every time. Then the torrent begins. Because the mama's boy just has to run to other groups. It was Klaus 'The Moron' Schadenfreude who stated that he and his college buddies used to forge people all the time and it was arousing.

What I do is certainly better.

I have a GNU/Linux system I use as well, but it's better than yours.

What they focus on is serving the needs of most users. Most users do not
care about such things... most computers are never updated. BUT, there
are a significant number who do, and that is a weakness of Apple's
hardware.

> I might forgive that, in less-expensive consumer-level products, but I

And while I would like to see them update their hardware, for many it is
still appealing. It is not JUST the hardware they are buying, of course.

And there are many pros upset with them for NOT updating their
hardware... I think with good reason.

Choice is good. Apple sells systems with a lot of benefits... and also
with down sides. Use what you like.

So he changed his story to Jonas Eklundh responding to any sock of his.

I reported him years ago. As expected, it did squat to attenuate the imbecile.

Interesting how you guys attack their hardware in an OS-focused group.

But, yeah, they have some bad -- and some good -- hardware decisions
with their devices.

My $15 MS Comfort Curve 2000 cheapie keyboard is still going strong, year after year (I think 4 years now). Turn it over and shake it and all kinds of stuff comes out: dog hair, half-eaten sandwiches, fingernails…

Steve "Steven Petruzzellis" Carroll's obsession with Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude started in 2004 when Carroll got mad about his then girlfriend obsessing over Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude (heavily documented here: <http://tinyurl.com/proof-about-ebot>). Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude continued to respond to Steve for about 5 years, when Steve flipped out in 2009 and started contacting Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude's employer with the stated goal to have him fired (he spoke of doing so even if he had to twist arms):

    <http://goo.gl/OHNryA>
    <http://goo.gl/MZ6yCD>
    <http://goo.gl/WaKKGq>

There were more, but Carroll has had them deleted from the Google archive. I have not spent the time to find them elsewhere (and likely will not).

With that Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude stopped responding directly to Steve except for *one* chance he gave him in 2011 when Steve was accusing *Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude* of running: <http://goo.gl/racU64>.

Carroll, as predicted, ran (he always does when faced with facts):
<http://goo.gl/qHs5Xh>

Steven Petruzzellis knows he has no backing for any of his nonsense and has become, if anything, more and more obsessive since Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude stopped responding to him.

Steve "Steven Petruzzellis" Carroll is truly a very, very sick man.

Clearly not true... you obsess over them. But use what you like.

Here's an open secret ... Apple infects your brain and (in extreme cases)
turns you into a "Snit." Although I admit his trolling productivity and nym
creating productivity is off the charts. Too bad you can't do anything
productively useful with an Apple.
