What they focus on is serving the needs of most users. Most users do not 
care about such things... most computers are never updated. BUT, there 
are a significant number who do, and that is a weakness of Apple's 
hardware.

And while I would like to see them update their hardware, for many it is 
still appealing. It is not JUST the hardware they are buying, of course.

And there are many pros upset with them for NOT updating their 
hardware... I think with good reason.

Choice is good. Apple sells systems with a lot of benefits... and also 
with down sides. Use what you like.
