I was talking about my video... and just tried it... was able to do it but the arrow did not work, nor did my moving of the text. Oddly enough the name of the file also got mangled. I could fix those things if I cared. So I *could* streamline things to one click. That is silly though. Will look at your video again and see if I can replicate it. It magically ends up as a PDF file in your Recipes folder. Zooming would have to be done in post-production in something like cinelerra. Too much effort for this. Maybe one day i'll fiddle with it and see how much work is involved. IIRC, when I toyed with cinelerra before, it required taking the video to a VM running ubuntu 14.04 or something with that crappy unity, and it just wasn't worth having to deal with *that* plus the learning curve for cinelerra.

Unless I was saving recipes all the time I would not want a hot key - and if I was saving to Recipes, Web Receipts, Download, and Desktop (which are all true on my system) I would not want to have to remember four different hot keys. Comes down to this: Owl engaged in some good advocacy, better than most of your herd ever has. He showed Linux doing pretty much any given task I showed in an alternate system, though perhaps not quite as streamlined. He also showed a task Peter mentioned, converting files in the file manager to PDF, in a way which I was able to emulate but *not* as well as his (mine had some advantages but overall his was better). Fine. Each was shown to have advantages, neither of us was claiming the other was a bad choice to use, and we were talking about technology and educating each other. Excellent conversation. But then Owl was *not* able to replicate PDF Services other than to have people right click on the desktop as opposed to the program itself. Ouch. This is a whacky workflow and, apparently at least, to not clutter his menus he removed other items we had talked about and used. I noted PDF Services is available in any program that uses the standard OS X print dialog - no need to go to the desktop or otherwise leave the program.
