* Linux has nothing comparable to OS X's PDF Services that you can show.

* You show ignorance of this... no understanding at all.

* You made it clear you are too incompetent to view a YouTube file.

* You thought my convert-to-PDF from file manager tool is based on
  Owl's even though you have no evidence of this. The IDEA is inspired
  by him to create tool with a different use-case than PDF Services, but
  not a single line of my code comes from his.

A constant, Peter this, Peter that, Peter what, Peter why, Peter where, 
Peter when, Peter who, Peter that, Peter this, Peter, Peter, Peter………on 
and on and on.  It is a clear indication of one thing, he has been 
schooled severely.  Now, just thrashing about aimlessly in shame, 
desperately trying to save face in vain.

I ask, who wants to discuss technology with someone who practices 
demented computing.  One example of this would be abusing files, 
dragging them here and there without a purpose and torturing them by 
opening the same file in multiple applications.  Who does this kind of 
crazy stuff in real life computing?.  Maybe this is what is meant by 
productivity, efficiency and error reduction.

People who spend a lot time in a walled garden, fall victim to this type 
of affliction, demented computing and produce countless demented videos 
pretending to discuss technology.  It would be more honest if they admit 
to self-pleasuring themselves here in COLA.  A whack job if you will.

Peter, you as a programmer should be aware of the infinite loop.  Just 
jump off to exit the loop.  He will claim victory but everybody will see

The first video I show discusses specific use cases. The second was based on
Peter's moving of goal posts... and he gave no use case.

OK, to summarize and then, shortly, drop out of this idiotic circus the herd
is pushing (unless we can get you guys to focus on tech).

OS X has a number of pretty cool features that allow you to streamline your
work based on the context:

* PDF Services: folders and apps you can send a PDF version of the file you
are working on from the print dialog
* System Services: allows you to target selections by type, such as files
and folders, images, videos, documents in general, audio files, etc. You can
then run scripts on these. You can also select what programs to have the
options be available in (though this is somewhat limited in capability).
* Sharing: allows for sharing to iCloud or email or through Facebook or
Twitter or the like. Different programs have different options depending on
the context.
* Actions: things which tie into images and PDFs, say in Mail or other apps.

In each case Apple provides some options but you can create others or get
others from third parties. These work SYSTEM wide, with few programs not
tying into them. 

Linux has a small subset of this capability... but it is not as if these
things are the be-all and end-all of computing. Nobody has belittled Linux
for it, nor Windows (which is more like Linux in this way). Nobody has said
Linux is unusable or bad or suggested anyone switch away from Linux because
of this.

But the herd is so insecure they cannot stand the thought or choice. They
cannot stand the thought that Linux is not the best at everything. So they
cry about the sour grapes and they attack.

What do you think Linux won? Really? I do not understand? I know I won
because I learned about the PDF conversion on Linux. That is a win.

I also won because I have provided you with the material to understand what
it means to have a system which is more streamlines and context aware. I
showed multiple examples of single tasks or just a few then put a lot of
that together here: <https://youtu.be/mb3Y7xjwnoo>.

That is the point of the other tools... the idea you can do these all. You
are able to replicate one or two at a time, though sometimes with odd
workarounds such as having to go to the file browser to work with a web page
in your web browser (that is where you have control so that is where you
go), but to have all of these things at once is something that Linux does
not offer without having massive clutter. This would include, but NOT be
limited to: 

* Save current document to Recipes as PDF
* Save current document to Web Receipts as PDF
* Save current document to Desktop
* Save current document to Downloads (I use that as a catchall)
* Convert current document to PDF with same name and email
* Convert current document to PDF with selectable name and email
  (occurs to me now it would be cool if the email client just let
  you select the attachment and re-name... if Linux clients let
  you do this it would serve much the same need... OS X's Mail
  does not)
* View selected text in Tofu (a tool to make reading lots of text
  easier)
* Look up selected text in Kid's Dictionary
* Look up selected text in Urban Dictionary
* Look up selected text in Wikipedia
* Look up selected text in standard dictionary
* View selected phone number in larger type
* View selected address in a system map tool
* View selected address in Google maps
* Get word count of selected text
* Add selected text to a program that tracks deliveries
* Email the selected webpage to someone, as a webpage
* Set the selected URL to be put in a reading list
* Send the selected URL to Facebook, with comments
* Scan the selected files / folders with a malware program
* Delete the selected application
* Get a quick look at the contents of this file or archive
* Make some basic edits to this image / PDF attachment in email
* Do a "man" search on the selected text
* Add a Lorem Ipsum sentence at the insertion point
* Add a Lorem Ipsum paragraph at the insertion point
* Get all local links from the current web page
* Get all image links from the current web page
* Open the current file in a new instance of the associated program
* New Terminal at Folder
* Encode selected audio file
* Encode selected video file
* Set PDF meta-data

That is just insane. Now YOU have a choice: if you can learn we BOTH win. If
you cannot we both lose... for my goal is not just to learn but to educate.
So can you show understanding?

Absolutely, 100% agree. The only time he pretends to be "reasonable" is 
when using a new nym and pretending to have serious questions about 
Linux. (Questions that would be normally asked at the distribution's 
forum or website.) His tactic is so transparent at this point that you 
immediately know who it is and an instant addition to your killfile is a 
painless procedure.

Well, I could add it to the Finder Services menu or add it to the dock...
but why the heck would I want to go to the desktop to save a file from a web
page I am looking at when I am already at the browser? That makes no real
sense... it is a work around you came up with for NOT having a direct means
so you created an indirect one.
