Left side of piehole: The GNU/Linux community rejects standardization. An attempt at creating standards, the LSB or Linux Standards Base, is ignored by most distros -- as it should be. Right side of piehole: GNU/Linux and open source software are ruled by specifications and standards. Back and forth goes the jackass, taking one side then the other.

I'm not sure, however (I'll have to check) if the default program on Microshit for handling Open Document format is set to MS Orifice. If it is, then all a Microshit user has to do is click on the ODF file to be able to open it -- and clicking is ALL that a Microshit user knows how to do.

Available for MS Office for 11 years (since ver 2007). Even if it weren't in MS Office, save to .pdf is not nearly enough to recommend LibreOffice.

I'm not the type to demand perfection from free products. To me, a free product is kind of like an inexpensive car; you know it'll get you to where you want to go, but you might have to fact a few issues along the way. That's LibreOffice for me. However, I know that I will eventually get the feature free of charge. -- SilverSlimer Free software advocate Minds: @silverslimer
