We eagerly await such 'slick content' in a useful app created 100% by you.

Don't disappoint this time; the content you usually create induces
vomiting all over the floor.

Speaking of vomit, write some code to turn a long string into X lines of
N characters or less - but you can't break in the middle of a word, and
each new line must also begin with the same number of >'s.

Input: one line of length 443, with >>> at the beginning
text = ">>> "I think Arch was the best choice this year as it respects
user's freedom and keeps its repositories free from any proprietary or
non-free packages. Arch-GNU/Linux was our first choice because it
discourages practices like DRM or Tiviozation. I think other
distributions should follow Arch's principles. If you can't respect
freedom, go release your sex-tapes or commit suicide, please leave the
morbid GNU/Linux world alone," added Linus."

Output: seven lines of length <=70, each with >>> at the beginning
 >>> "I think Arch was the best choice this year as it respects user's
 >>> freedom and keeps its repositories free from any proprietary or
 >>> non-free packages. Arch-GNU/Linux was our first choice because it

heh! Break out the perl - write 800 lines and show us that feeble
Fabian Russell coding "prowess"!   LMAO!

(the DFS solution you could NEVER best)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
words = str(text).split()
quoter = words[0] + ' '
s=1
maxL=70
for e in range(1,len(words)-1):
	if len(quoter) + len(' '.join(words[s:e+1])) >= maxL:
		print quoter + ' '.join(words[s:e])
		s=e
print quoter + ' '.join(words[s:len(words)])
------------------------------------------------------------------------

ps Do you suck at everything you do?

Until you run out of characters whose shape you can reprogram.

Exactly. And just as even FORTRAN can be used as an OO language, it
involves a lot of work, so we don't call it OO. Likewise, the mere fact
that you can futz around with ncurses and reprogrammable character
shapes does not make it a graphics library.

As someone who has taught CS for 30 years, programmed Apple II
characters to draw shapes, used ncurses for 20 years, programmed GUI
apps on modern equipment, I think I know what I am talking about. You
clearly don't. Any language with sequences, loops and conditionals can
program any algorithm. That doesn't make them all OO, or all databases,
or all graphics libraries, even though in theory all of them can do all
of it because all Turing complete languages can program all algorithms -
in theory. You make an entertaining point, and I told you the limits of
it. But now you have just proved yourself to be a rude arrogant jerk.
Usenet is a discussion forum, where people who actually don't know what
they are talking about can learn new things without being insulted. So
if you can't live up to that standard, plonk to you, I'd rather talk to
the people who want to learn what they don't know and teach what they do.

What about vector graphics? Not a pixel to be seen. :-D

Vector graphics is only a mathematical description.
This description has to be rasterized on a conventional
graphics device in order to be realized.

Vector graphics is also no good for photography or
other photo-realistic imagery. (Unless the VG describes
every pixel, but this would not be practical.)
