I'd switch to linux in a heartbeat if I could do that.
What's your secret to running MS office
and windows programs like TurboTax

WITHOUT A WINDOWS LICENSE?

It is very strange. Pretty-much every market has its mainstream
products and its niche market products, with the "popularity" of them
having very little to do with how "good" they are. If anything, the
niche-market products are usually the better ones, and are sought-out
by those who demand higher quality than what the mainstream products
offer.

Of course, the desktop OS market is very lopsided, for various
reasons, not the least of which is the tendency of software vendors to
target only a couple of the most popular platforms. But still, in a
market as vast and diverse as "desktop PC users", it's absurd to think
that a couple of mainstream choices is going to be satisfactory for
everyone.

So, why do we have Linux-hating trolls? Simple. They are shitty.
They are insecure. They have identified a group that is clearly their
moral and intellectual superior, and feel the need to attack, to
bolster their own self-esteem.

And the reasons you attack those you feel you're 'morally and
intellectually' superior to are?

It wouldn't be because you're a piece of crap, now would it?... whoops,
the answer is in the question.

Why do you lie? The only "Windows games" you play are the archaic ones
from five or more years ago. Even then, the performance you get out of
them on your Linux desktop is a fraction of what you would get from the
same machine in Windows. You don't play "Windows games," you play
"bargain bin sell-offs nobody wants anymore."

You also don't even know what a "fraction" means. Either that or you're
just lying. Either is equally possible.

Playing games is what we people with time and money are allowed to do.
Our time is not consumed unclogging toilets and +1ing everyone's posts

William Poaster, if that's even his real name, doesn't convey a sense
of intelligence even at the lowest level. He is probably another
burger flipper like that other idiot 7.

I sense that at least several of the Linux losers in this group have
menial jobs. Linux does seem to attract that type of person.

I play a modern game, Cities in Motion. Its very latest successor is
available for linux natively. I am not a keen gamer, but, as I said, I
play windows games on linux. Why do YOU commit defamation by calling
that a lie?

Because the reality is that you don't play WINDOWS GAMES in LINUX. That
was the sentence used and it is a lie which suggests that Wine is
capable of handling Windows games - recent ones - natively even though
it is not true. By being available natively, Cities in Motion is no
longer a WINDOWS game now is it?

Wrong again. The CIM I use is a WINDOWS binary. It's not this-year
current, but I never claimed it was. It's certainly in the "modern game"
category though, using current generation graphics. I merely added as an
afterthought that the very latest version ALSO comes as a linux game.
That doesn't change one whit what I said about my own use of WINDOWS
games on LINUX. It does make you a libeller though.

A Windows game is not a Windows game, when some lying piece of shit
like "Slimer" wants to attack an advocate as a "liar".

Looks like flinging shit here profusely is not giving you any

Absolutely. Every time it gives people the impression that it might
have, finally, made something decent out of itself from screenshots,
actually using it shows that it has barely improved since the year 2000.
It was awful then and it is still awful now.

> It's been 2 decades of the Linux desktop and it still is completely

For good reasons. The only people who swear by it are the people who
work in IT in an administrative role. For them, it is easier to deal
with Linux issues on servers and the like. Anyone else prefers the
Windows desktop.

I encourage anyone to go out and download Linux as well to install it.
If they keep it, it will be a series of compromises. If they don't, it
might have caused irreparable damage to their partitions yet given them
every reason to understand WHY it hasn't succeeded.
