Snit, the cooling talk was all over the place in the 70s.  I was alive
then and remember it.  Oh, and we also had Carl Sagan going on and on
about "nuclear winter."  And there was acid rain killing all the trees
on the mountain tops.  And there was that ecology flag, and Earth Day,
and a bunch of other crap.  But I don't recall ever hearing a thing back
then about "Global Warming."
