Except those weren't actually the machines being tested:

Maybe you should try actually reading the articles you're commenting on,
before attempting to use them as the basis for your propaganda.

The "early access" business model is now very common, as I'm sure
Microsoft would agree, given that this is exactly what it's done with
Windows 10. Whether or not it qualifies as "ethical" depends on your
priorities: early access to unstable, in-development products, or a long
wait for stable, finalised products.

At least early access to SteamOS is purely voluntary, whereas Microsoft
seems to be delivering Windows 10 like a virus to its unwilling and
unsuspecting victims.
