I just want the _simplest_ free solution that will save Screenshots
directly to the external SD Card in the /sdcard1/data1/pic/screenshot/
directory.

I know of these types of "workarounds", but that's not what I am asking:
o *Workaround 1*: A free file redirector

https://automatic-file-mover-free.droidinformer.org/

Probably one of the easiest to use. Just configure the filters to look 
for the file format your screenshots (png/jpg/gif/whatever) are saved 
in and where you want them to go. When it sees them (it runs in the 
background) it'll move them for you.

device correctly in the first place.

  I had given him a clue-by-four pointer on how to do this and then he
again got aggro for no reason whatsoever, so I just kept given him
pointers to the clue-by-four. Instead of just following the pointers and
hence solve his problem, he kept the aggro going.

  So now he's back with his OP in this thread and still none the wiser.

  I can't be specific about the solution without giving him yet another
clue which he doesn't deserve. So instead I'll give a pointer to the

the user to change an Android setting, that will store just the Screenshots
on the SD card.

admit that this problem I will solve will then apply to _anyone_ who wants
to store their Screenshots on the external SD card.

A symlink seems to be a reasonable workaround - if it works non root.
o I had previously use file redirectors - but they're a PITA.
o I tested complete screenshot freeware apps - but that's overkill

without it being rooted? Detail, step by step. Also include specific 
Android device if at all possible and version of Android present on

I'm well aware of the ability to create symlinks on my external 
memory when it's outside of the phone itself, but, that isn't going 
to solve the issue Arlen was posting about. Starting with Android 6, 
it's possible (depending on device) to have the external memory card 
treated as the phones own internal memory, but that requires taking 
advantage of the encryption option.

Your question clearly implies that you don't know much/anything about 
restrictions on Android devices that aren't rooted, but, I'm willing 
to learn otherwise if this turns out being the case. I think you're 
bullshitting, so I'm willing to risk it by asking you how to do it, 
then. Without being rooted, how did you create a symlink on your 
Android device internal memory to redirect the default location for 
saved screenshots?

It's OK if I ask a hard question that has no easy answer & the thread is

I'm trying to reach the 1 person out of 1,000 who knows Android well enough
to answer that question Frank - where that person clearly isn't you Frank.

provided you a 3rd 'work around'. MOVE THE FUCKING FILE where you 
want it. Simple enough. Automated even.

Only a dumbass would misidentify what I offered you as either a file 
redirector OR another screenshot saving program. What I suggested IS 
NEITHER of the two (and only two?) workarounds you knew of.

Unless you've fucked your terminology again and what you're calling a 
file 'redirector' is a file copy/moving app, like the one I 
suggested? That's about the only way I can see you claim that I 
offered you something you specifically didn't want....?

Has that reverse psy nonsense ever worked for you? I just can't see 
it working on anyone I know.
