That sounds like quite a good offer, rates in Germany are usually higher than that. Eg. T-Mobile will charge you 45€/month (regular even 50€) for one phone(!), with 3GB data/month (up to 100MBit/s), all calls and all texts inside Germany/to German numbers (except some special numbers, which charge extra). Calls/texts to other countries, calls while being abroad, ... go extra. Other providers might be a bit cheaper, but I have yet to see an offer comparable to your's... :-( Best regards, Michael

Case in point: If I use my Dutch pre-paid Vodafone SIM in Australia [1], to call within Australia or/and to The Netherlands, I pay *less* than I would with an Australian prepaid Vodafone SIM. That makes these - explicit or implicit - generalizations about providers X, Y, Z, etc. such a sad joke in these international 'forums'. [...] [1] Theoretical example, because Vodafone's coverage is a (sad) joke (outside the major cities/towns).

For an extra of 5€/month (each and every month, regardless of whether I'm abroad or not), on top of an already quite 'nicely' priced contract (e.g. 35€/month for 1.5GB, resulting in 40€/month). And unlimited it isn't at all, there are limits both for data (if I understood it correctly, it's the same limit as nationally), and some three-digit number of minutes and texts. Actually not bad (for German standards), but from my point of view not as good as M.L.'s... Best regards, Michael
